An opportunity for a small exclusive guided tour of Professor Kingsley Dixon’s private garden in Waroona.
A 49 seater bus will pick up at South Perth and Mandurah, refreshments provided, all inclusive cost $75 with part proceeds of the luncheon being a fund raising effort by the Christian Women’s Association.

As Foundation Director of Science at Kings Park and Botanic Garden for 32 years, Professor Dixon has established its research capacity in the conservation and restoration sciences building a group of over 50 scientists and graduate students.

This modest man’s latest project is the creation of a unique garden. Dixon and his husband Lionel Johnston spent years looking for the right property. They have planted over 400 azaleas, 100 Japanese maple varieties and dozens of standard weeping maples.  There are several rose gardens, many hundreds of bulbs including tulips and daffodils, and lawns of native grasses.

Pick up times are:
8 am South Perth Civic Centre, Cnr South Tce and Sandgate St, South Perth.
9.15am Dudley Park Bowling Club, entry off Gillark St, or Eden St, Dudley Park
10.10am Waroona Town Hall, SW Highway in the middle of town (toilet stop)
